It all started with my
interest in publicity and advertising. I attended a 4-year Publicity and
Advertising university course (Bachelors in Social Communications).
Meanwhile I did some part-time work as a Junior Graphic designer at
Advertising companies in Brazil.
During that time, I also
developed my brain playing music. I have been playing drums for about 8
years, 4 of them in a female band called Evil Woman. We did
small tours around our region (Brazilian Northeast) and were well
known. Long story short, I left the band to attend a full-time 12-month
Film Production Program at Vancouver Film School, in British Columbia. In Vancouver, I managed to
learn English fast, and successfully completed the course. At that time I also
joined PickUp, a 3-piece Brit-pop-rock-band. We played a few shows in
Greater Vancouver, but only lasted 10 months. Eventually, I got to join the
movie independent scene in Vancouver, and worked as 1st AD for DC Lessoway's
feature film Fading, and produced a short movie with fellow Brazilian
director Claudia Costa, entitled Ciao.
Since 2005, I've been doing
graphic and web design for my husband's company
Basone Guitars. I have also done some web design jobs, such as TLC Farm Product's website, CV Tonewood's website and Basone's itself. Recently I have been doing graphic design for a local company.
I have a valid Canadian work permit and driver's license. I currently offer freelance services as graphic designer - design of logos, business cards, brochures and signages in general - as well as web design services.
